So, My Kids Have a Tablet (and you can win one too!)

We are in the technological age where mobile and tablet users are becoming younger and younger. Tablets are the newest technology out there as a standalone device. You can no longer expect the coming of age gift of technology to happen in a child’s teens. Kids as young as three years old are taking advantage of all the learning potential that tablets have to offer. While there may be many tablets on the market, when you want your child to join you in the virtual world, the InnoTab® 3S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet by Vtech is the way to go. I was lucky enough to share this transition with my children thanks to Vtech providing us with an InnoTab® 3S for review.

readPicRecommended for children ages 3 – 9, the InnoTab® 3S uses the special communication app, Vtech Kids Connect, to allow parents to stay connected with their children tablet-to-mobile or tablet-to-tablet. Now parents can check-in during the work day just to say a special hello without having to go through a caregiver. Imagine the excitement when a text message or animated sticker from Mom or Dad pops up on the screen. All communication can be approved by the parents for the ultimate safe zone for child text messaging. Your child will only be chatting with people they know and trust.

The wi-fi connection drives the versatility of this kid-friendly tablet.  Not only does it offer direct messaging between child and parents or child and friends, but it allows parents ease of mind with its kid-safe web browser. The InnoTab® 3S comes stock with age-appropriate websites. Additional websites may be added with the parent-only password protection feature to ensure that no child accesses any inappropriate material.

Hands down the best part of this tablet has to be the rechargeable battery pack with AC adapter. You won’t have to buy expensive batteries to keep this gem going! With all the engaging games, videos, e-books, and music you could expect tons of thrown away batteries. Vtech offers over 600 titles of age-appropriate learning tools that range from reading and math to problem solving and geography. The Learning Lodge allows you to purchase any of these titles with ease. Your child can be learning with their favorite character from Dora the Explorer™, Monsters University®, and more!

InnoTab® 3S comes standard with 20 apps that include H2O Go! that allows kids to take20app a dive into science and a 3D art studio application for exploration into their creative sides. Not to mention the WonderCam app for adding 55 special effects to the photos taken on the 2 megapixel, 180 degree rotating camera on the InnoTab® 3S. In the box, you’ll also find the Read, Play, and Create cartridge with included apps: MP3 player, photo album, and the popular Wish List Maker. The five inch color touch screen display tablet’s retail at MSRP $99.99.

Keep an eye out for the Deluxe Apps Package with Premium Kid Connect this Fall on the Learning Lodge. It’ll be packed with a Movie Maker and animation camera games for stop motion videos. Premium Kid Connect will enhance the messaging experience by adding personalized voice messages, drawings, and photos to the conversation.

Most kids are envious of older siblings’ or even their parents’ use of cell phones and tablets. Why not let them join in on the connectivity by investing in the InnoTab® 3S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet by Vtech? You can feel assured that your child will have a safe experience on the internet and when chatting with friends and family.
